Last night I had an intense experience. Lately I have been getting some bad fevers from my strep throat, which in turn gives me some pretty crazy dreams/hallucinations. Here is one of them- Dream: I was chosen by the government to be an experiment to colonize an uninhabited moon in our solar system. When I got there it was a pretty fantastical planet. There were large mountains, huge plains, rolling hills, and an extensive ocean. There were two other colonists on the moon and it seemed like the year long colinization experience would go by in a breeze, but when I met the colonists they had gone quite insane, and told me about how the tide came up over the land and immersed the whole planet in water every night. My space ship was built with the door at ground level so I was caught unprepared and had no refuge for the first night. The other colonists stayed out with me but their ship was tipped over by the extreme current of the ocean so we were basically abandoned on the top of a hill with water all around us. They were panicking and they told me about the large creatures that lived in the water. One of them went crazy and pushed the other in and a vicious sea creature ripped him up. The one that pushed him in then jumped in, committing suicide. By then I was completely panicked but the water level was still rising. The water eventually rose up to my height and swept me in, where I was ravaged by sea creatures. I woke up back on Earth and everything had a very solemn mood. I went to talk to my Mom to ask her if I was still alive. She told me that sadly, I wasn't, but I was surprised she could acknowledge my existence still. She proceeded to describe my mutilated body, or what the scientists had recovered of me. She went on about some kind of conspiracy and how there was never any hope for me. It seemed like I was trapped in some kind of place between Heaven and Hell, not dead or alive. I saw this as a chance to say good bye to Earth, because I couldn't stay in this state forever. For some reason I went on a walk through a city. The city was the most perfect/beautiful thing I had ever seen. The colors were extremely vivid and breathtaking and the sounds coming down the path to me were like perfect music. I could see the world for what it truly was in this state and it brought tears to my eyes. I had a kind of understanding/epiphany about the world and then I dissolved into the universe. I then woke up sweaty but with a slight understanding of things. It left me in a good mood and I wanted to share it. -Z.F IMD
