I'm in a big dark place watching a film in company and the film is engrossing, so much so that I forget about the person right in front of me, in the middle distance, obscuring mid picture. She is engrossed in filming our fascination in the film! She is a beautiful playful woman who we know and love, she is smiling and keen on her subjects. Yet it's only when she moves her camera in the way of the critical part of the picture that I am reminded she is there and momentarily irritated which I regret, yet its OK, since I also guess that may be mainly what she wants. Despite feeling her intense dedication to us it never occurs to me at the time - even in a dream, as in life - that it's more than dedication. At the time it's just an ironic scenario and a nice feeling of unconditional belonging that is never present in my waking world.
