I honestly don't know how to start this, but I was so interested with this dream for some reason that I have to share it. So me and my family were at a house with others I didn't recognize and we were trying to light this candle, and my mother was becoming frustrated because she couldn't light it. So I stepped in and lit it. The candle was strange, it spiraled a lot, and the wick was made out of a type of thin metal, and when lit it sent out sparks a lot like a "sparkler" firework. My mom then told me to put it out, but I could not and she started yelling. I turned the rectangle knob at the base of the candle all the way to the right until the flame became centered like a torch, changing from blue to orange to white, then I remembered "Righty tighty, lefty loosey" so I turned it to the left until it went out. By the time I did that we had transitioned into a room that looked very similar to mine, except it was greatly deteriorated. Apparently the candle was powered by a spark plug or something of that sort found only at electric plants, and we needed another one to not be in the dark, so my step dad went out to go get another one. When he opened the door I noticed that it was extremely windy and dark, and there was lightning but no sounds of thunder. So when he let, I also noticed the window was open, and I looked at the floor and the candle had left ashes, a lot of ashes. The ashes were being blown across the floor by the wind and constantly rearranging themselves into several thick, diagonal rectangles, separated by slightly greyer lines of ash. In each rectangle of ash there was characters, some had numbers, some had words, some had letters, some had symbols I had never seen. I was intrigued, and I kept staring at these glowing white symbols appearing, trying to find a pattern or make sense of any of them when I heard my step dad frantically trying to open the door of the room only to find out it was locked. Then I woke up to my sister frantically trying to open the locked door to my room, but I don't remember locking the door. I told my sister and she found it creepy, but I'm still completely intrigued for some reason so I didn't find it creepy at all, which is why I just made an account here to share it with others.
