It’s early dawn. The sun slightly peeking over a country ridgeline in the distance. The sky is black with no stars. in the car I begin talking to my mother about what is going to happen today. “I’ve never even heard of this, but it sounds like sooo much fun!” I say as I’m literally bouncing up and down in the passenger seat. “I can see that.” She giggles. I look out the windows to the fields and barns and forests that we past. Why does this all look so familiar? I pondered that thought as we drove down the road in my mom’s old red truck. I roll down the window and stick my hand out to feel the wind and do the wave as I called it. My mom pulls me out of my clouds. “We’re almost there.” She says as we take a turn. I look to the driver side and I begin to see several cars parked in the front of a meadow and some of the other kids at my school huddled together in groups heading towards what looked like bleachers. “Hmmmmmm… no place to park though. I’ll just drop you off here and you can walk on over.” My mom proceeds to turn into the Walgreens parking lot across the road. “This is gonna be awesome!” I shout excitedly. As my mom parks the car facing the meadow a car in front of us passes by with familiar faces. One face stood out the most though: my ex boyfriend’s. “Hey look its Tyler, Zach, and Havi!” I said as I watched them turn into the meadow area. “Which Tyler? The one that dumped you? Aren’t you over him?” asked my mom seriously, taking my excitedness as for seeing him. “Of course I am.” I said indignantly, “I can’t be excited to see my friends?” I got out of the car as she said bye and said she loved me, and headed towards the meadow a little happy and nervous. As I enter the meadow I pass by the rows of cars and people starting to arrive. I seem to recognize some of them but everyone is shadowed. I spotted where everyone was heading and went towards the bleachers. I walked by the first set of bleachers and looked for anyone I recognized,. I saw no one I knew or recognized but Tyler, who was sitting amongst his friends and a few girls smiling and laughing the way he does. I took a quick glimpse and walked speedily toward an spot in the bleachers. I hope he didn’t see me. what if h did and just ignored me? pfft what do care. After I said that I perked up a bit. I began to look around. Everyone was sitting and talking to one another. Iin front of the bleachers was a low building that seemed to come up from the ground like the one the imperials had on Endor. I wonder whats in there? I asked myself when suddenly I heard my name. I looked around to see my friend Alex walking towards me. “Alex! Hows it going buddy? Been a while.” I said, patting down at the seat next to me. “I know right. I’ve been good. I wonder what we’re doing here?” she said. “I know right. I was just thinking the sa-“ I began to say but I was cut off by someone moving around behind me and its Tyler making his way to sit next to me on my left. Darn he did see me! “Hey Shelby.” He said cooly, plopping himself down next to me. “Hey Ty.” I said almost heatedly but mostly friendly. He was wearing a grey and black plaid shirt like he usually wears with khakis. His hair was still as floppy as ever, long hands and all other features were the same. But his eyes seemed to hold no definitive color. He smiled sweetly and shyly as he looked at me. the same way he used to look at me over skype when we were together. the same look of love and care set into his eyes. “Listen I was wondering…” he began slowly. taking a deep breath he continued, “Well I was wondering if you were still mad at me for what I did? I never meant to hurt you.” I looked at him with pity and awe. “Well I mean im not that mad at you. Actually I really wasn’t.” I answered bashfully. I was about to ask him something when all of a sudden he leaned quickly towards me. He began to place light feathery kisses as if he knew exactly where I would be ticklish. I giggled uncontrollably as I closed my eyes. I could feel my lips spreading into the old childish smile I used to always carry. “Okay, okay, I love you.” I said and everything went black as I woke up.
