everything in this submission is nothing but the truth. even the ending paragraph. for further background information regarding "the Doctor," he is a man i frequently hallucinate. he wears all black leather jacket, black combat/cargo pants, and black combat boots. also he wears a black ski mask with a smile cut into the threading where his mouth is visible due to the cut. he tends to hit me, hard. the dream. Blinding light surrounds me. my eyes struggle to focus, let alone squint to try and dull the pure whiteness. the only thing visible in this blinding hell was the silhouette of a man walking towards me. he was laughing at my weakness. his laugh was familiar. still squinting, i could see no details on the man even though he was but inches from my breath. from what i could tell, he was wearing all black. the word familiar ringed through my skull once more. i was searching past him, for a structure, object, or anything other than this pain barring light, even a light switch would bring hope to end this torture. there were no walls. i was trapped in an infinite void with an unknown, yet familiar man before me. he spoke subtle words, mocking my weakness to the light. upon hearing his first syllable utter from his throat, i knew who he was. The Doctor. he grabbed my face and forced my eyes open, yelling for me to look into his eyes. i spit in his face and asked how i'm supposed to look at him when he wears a mask. i felt his cold knuckles meet my face, followed by the floor. blood. the first color to be seen from this hellish jail of white. his fingers clenched my shirt and pulled me to a sitting position. he pulled his mask off with no hesitation and yelled once more to look at him. his yells filled with rage. spit flying from the hole of his mouth landed on my face. i smirked. i told him i couldn't see with his spit in my eyes, so i spit my blood into his face. i took another punch. felt like a cinder block. his hand on my shirt kept me from falling back. i was laughing madly at his anger. he kept yelling. familiar is a word i never used too often, until this moment. his yells reminded me of my past. his anger. his punches. everything from my past was inside of his rage. he grabbed my face once more and forced my eyes open. for a brief moment i felt like i was gazing into a mirror. his face. my face. equal. he screamed with blood curdling rage, "remember." his fist right hooked into my temple. everything now was black. cold sweats sliding down the surface of skin. i could hear the air being tossed around by my ceiling fan. i was back in my room. breathing heavy. i knew i was awake from my dream, but an uneasy feeling was still settling in my mind. he was standing in the corner of my room. walking to my bed, sliding is mask on. kneeling towards me. whispering. "remember." i threw a punch but to no avail upon contact he vanished. Tonight the Doctor visited me in my sleep, and was waiting for my awakening.
